Earlier or later second time around?

I am term today. At my 36 week appointment I was 1.5 cm, 60% effaced and baby was at -1 position. When I was admitted to the hospital at 38 weeks with my son I was 2 cm, 80% effaced and -1 position. I have been convinced this baby is coming early.

What is everyone's experience? Did baby #2 come earlier than #1? Same time?

I am trying not to read into anything but this is the part of pregnancy that I hate! (Not knowing if I can make plans for next week or even tomorrow and not wanting to sit around for weeks either). I am just so anxious to know how life will change with 2 under 2 and sick of speculating.

DD was born 37w0d.

DS was born 35w2d.

My 2nd was earlier for me.

This was me!

Since I was so late with DD1 I convinced myself that I was going to be late this time around too. Good thing I didn't bet on it because DD2 was actually born two days early!

Baby #2 was earlier. She was born at 36w and my son was born at 38w5d.

dd 1- 4 days late and only then due to low fluid- cervadil kicked me into labor

dd2- 2 days early on it's own- super fast labor

dd3- 2 weeks early triage tested w/ negative for amniotic fluid but it really had a little trickle that my doc discovered 2 days later, so I went down stairs for immediate pitocin----- so hard to say for sure since 2 of my 3 had a little nudge

DD1 - 41w1d

DD2 - 40w1d

DD2 was earlier, but I still made it to my due date.

DS1 - 39 weeks 2 days

DD - 39 weeks 1 day

DS2 - 39 weeks 5 days

So all before due date, second baby came earlier on her own but third baby had to be induced. The baby will come when he/she wants to.

Both came at 40w4d. Labor was much faster though.

DD1: 30 hours from first contraction to baby

DD2: 2.5 hours from first contraction to baby. Yes the point belongs there!

I'm not 2u2 but I lurk this board so I'll answer anyways.

My first was 38w4d. I was 3 cm.

Second was 38w2d. I had been 2 cm 50% for 2 weeks.

I will say, you just never know. My first who just had her third was 2 cm 80% at 36 weeks. Her Dr thought she'd go within a week. She ended up being induced at 39 weeks.
