KC help! SAHM of Twins!

I recently became a SAHM. I have 5 month old twin girls and well quite frankly I'm going on week 2 and it's really hard! I'm new to the Kansas City area and I'm afraid to go out alone with the girls.. My friends and family (that live in Miami-SUPER FAR FROM KC) say that I'm very lucky to be staying at home and to try and enjoy these moments because they go by so fast and I'll never get them again.. I don't know many people here and I would love to hear suggestions from other moms on how to keep my sanity?? I love my kids and I'm happy to be able to spend all this time with them-but I feel guilty that I kind of wish I could go back to work... Does that make me a terrible mother???

would love some feedback and suggestions on well... ANYTHING!

You are not a terrible mother! I am so grateful I get to go to work. It does help that I am a nurse and do three 12hr shifts and that is full time, and it's super flexible. I was so antsy to get back to work at the end of my maternity leave. I promise you though, the grass is always greener on the other side! When I am at home for a few days, I'm like wow, I could use a break from this baby boy- and when I am at work, I am just counting the hours until I get to go home!

Hi! I also live in Shawnee and am a SAHM of a 9 month old daughter. I have a twin sister so although i have no clue whats its like to raise multiples, i know what its like to be one! lol. Send me a private message if you are interested in getting together for coffee or something, not sure what part of Shawnee you are in. I know i get pretty bored during the day sometimes (especially with this cold weather) and a trip to starbucks would be fun.
