Sensitive Belly Button Solution: Pasties?

Random question of the day: I have an outie belly button to begin with, and now that my belly has ballooned in size, it is quite large. And quite sensitive! I've never enjoyed the look or feel of it sticking out, and I was thinking of using one of those silicone nipple covers to cover and protect it (not the stripper pasties that could technically do the job, but I have no desire for tassels or sequins on my bellybutton!). Is this a crazy idea? Anybody give it a try in the past? Thanks!

I am glad I'm not the only one! My belly button is so sensitive now that it's flat - kinda feels like how my fingertip gets sensitive when I break a nail down to the quick. DH is always wanting to rub my belly, and every time he goes across my belly button I cringe.

Let us know if it works!  My DD is constantly trying to poke me in the belly button and it kills.  It was totally flat with her, now it's a little bit of an outie.  Very sensitive.
