This one was somewhat of an accident-more of a we want 2-3 years between the kids so whatever happens happens type of deal. The first one was more planned-I paid attention to my cycles but that was all.

These are the best! I was keeping track, but to make sure we didn't get pregnant before we went to Vegas. Whoops, found out a week after we got back I was KU.
I almost LOLed at the title. I was about to say something completely stupid like SEX duh! And then my actual brain kicked in... this is why I have to pause before I answer questions!
Our lil' diva: late like her Momma: 40 weeks 5 days!
I kept track of my cycle, but I never charted temps or anything like that. The only reason I got some OPKs was because we really wanted to make sure I was KU and on schedule to have the baby in June so I would have the summer off with the baby but not have to miss much work (I'm a teacher). It worked out as planned.
We were going to start trying in October. In September, my little brother went missing for a few weeks, (Long story, but he's A-OK!) and we had a lot of sex, because that was the only way I could keep my mind off of what was happening ... I knew we hit my fertile window, but in no way thought I would get pregnant the first month we "tried." So here I am, plus-size and 36, and a major success-after-loss story. My doctor said she'd never been prouder. Ha.
We lost our first (EDD 07/23/12) after finding out at 12 weeks there was no longer a heartbeat. Our rainbow was born 05/22/13 and was worth all we went through.
“So can you understand? Why I want a daughter while I’m still young?
I wanna hold her hand and show her some beauty before all this damage
is done. But if it’s too much to ask, it’s too much to ask … Then send
me a son.” – Arcade Fire

EDD 06/04/12! Please Stick Baby! A/S 01/22/13 Baby looking great. Officially TEAM BLUE! Jack is getting a Baby Brother! RCS scheduled for 05/29/13. William Daryll born at 9:59am on 05/29/13. Left ovary and tube removed due to peach sized tumor found during RCS. Pathology came back benign!
My first two pregnancies was "it happens when it happens" and it took about 1-2 years to get pregnant and the same with my M/C. After t it happened, I started to chart, temp and OPKs...we got pregnant one month later.
We did charting and OPKs, same with our first. I'm too OCD to just see what happens...It would take too long and I'm way too impatient. Even with perfect timing with confirmed ovulation it takes a few months.
I have super regular cycles and track cervical mucus as my backup to double check so I knew I was ovulating soon and yanked my paragard out for a predeployment baby.
Lot and lots of drugs. Here's a picture of my embabies (one of whom became Gizmo):
Beautiful! I was thinking yesterday how I am so excited to see (at tomorrow's ultrasound) how my 4AA blastocyst has changed!
Our story is very romantic, too. My embryo transfer was at 5:30 am, so I had to leave the house at 5. My son was sick, like vomiting sick and woke up at 4 am. My husband had to give his "contribution" between 4:30 and 5. It was a circus with me cleaning up puke sheets and my husband in the other room watching porn.
I got to the clinic and told my doctor that this IVF attempt would be the one that worked. It did! We still laugh . . . this kid really wanted to be here!
This time it was temping/charting, but the first pregnancy (which we lost) was pretty much the last option. Maybe it would have been quicker the second time if we had remembered the booze!

SS!
I was with my RE for both and on metformin. I also charted and did OPKs as he suggested. Alcohol was also involved.

Is it bad that the last option most resembled our situation? Oops.
Ha! That's right. That's the old joke, "Q: What do you call a woman who relies on NFP to avoid pregnancy? A: Mom."
Good old charting and temperature check, along with OPKs.
It worked with DS (got preg in 1 month), worked again with my m/c pregnancy and again with LO.

And mine was conceived on my 30th birthday lol That's special. I woke up the next day and was harshly reminded that I am not 21 anymore
