Hi all, happy monday. I had my lap today. It was absolutely not as bad as I was afraid it was going to be. My biggest complaint was shivering uncontrollably afterwards, even though I was not cold. They had me wear this paper gown with a hole in it for a warming device. Umm....WHY did I not invent that? Anyway, they gave my IV Demerol because they said it was from the pain and the anesthesia, not from the cold. We got there at 11am, scheduled surgery for 1230, went in at 1229, DH was sitting next to me in recovery at 230. We were on the way home at 3pm. Just took a percocet and a motrin and not feeling all that bad. I can start the feel the gas building up in my shoulder so I'm trying to pace around the house, but I'm a little drunk from the percocet haha.
As far as the lap, the Dr. told DH she talked to me, but I probably won't remember it so she plans on calling me tomorrow. But to the best of his completely non-medical background understanding, I had mild to moderate endo, she removed a lot, said everything else looked great, and she wants us back on clomid next cycle. I love this RE and I loved her resident who just called to see how I was feeling and basically said the same thing. I'm very proud of DH for getting all this information down correct, he was more nervous than I was.
Thanks for all of the pre-op advise! The pillow in the car was a great idea, especially since I think we went over 40 train tracks!

Everyone has posted such great advise- mine is bring your own pads! The hospital ones are awful. Big and bulky and they just kind of placed it there. So as soon as I stood up it fell down. One of my friends suggested that when you change out of your street clothes, put a pad in your panties then, then roll them up and tuck them into your pants. When you get dressed, you can discretely pull them up with the pad of your choice ready to go. I'm glad I did.

You bleed a little from the trauma to your uterus/tubes etc. Very little, but it's bright red and it's enough to need a pad. At least that's what I had all afternoon, it's pretty much stopped now.
