Throughout the day where does your LO take their naps?
My dd always did the swing with 1 nap in her pnp. Now she is starting to fight the swing and cries when she is in it. Earlier I took her out of the swing and laid her down in her pnp and she took an hour nap. She is 11 weeks and I'm afraid of her confusing naps and bedtime.
Re: Nap time
His crib almost always. Unless we're in the car, then in his carseat... or errands in general, in the carseat.
He wasn't a fan of the swing or bouncer for the first two months of his life, so I'm not used to using it.
If we're home, and he's not napping in his crib, he's napping on our bed.
He falls asleep in my arms during daytime feedings and wakes up as soon as I put him down (swing, pnp, crib, couch, doesn't matter). We started this bad habit when I wasn't feeling well (and was napping too) but now I'm having trouble breaking it.
The only thing that does work is the K'tan or the carseat.
Do you have any background sound for the nap? So LO continues to keep day and night seperate? With my dd in the swing, there was always noise.
Also what do you in the evening? Do you leave a light on in the room again so not to confuse day and night?
My dd goes to bed well and does long stretches even sttn sometimes so I really don't want to mess with that.
But now everytime I put her in the swing she cries. I think we likes laying down and stretching out.
Naps during the day in his crib: white noise, all lights on, sometimes I even leave the door open.
Naps during the day on our bed: all lights on, TV or music stays on (or whatever I was doing. So if I'm talking, putting clothes up, etc...that still goes on.) I don't tip toe.
Sleeping at night always in his crib: white noise, ALL lights out... no night light, nothing. When I have to go in there, I turn the hall light on and leave the door cracked ever so slightly, just enough so that I can see him. But that's less for keeping days and nights straight and more because he just genuinely seems to sleep better in total darkness.
