Tabeo recalled

If anyone whose got stuck with one you can return them with or without a receipt for store credit.

Just thought I'd pass the info along.

  • They don't work and if you have one that does happen to work chances are it will break very soon. They rushed production and in their words made a very poor quality unusable toy. They are also going to disable the app market.

  • Just walk into your local Toys R Us with it.  They will be waiting for you.  That's how I found out.  The person working there said the recall just happened 3 days ago so there wasn't anything on their site about it yet.

  • So I went to the store and called both TRU and Tabeo and there has been no recall on this tablet. The store said they would only exchange the tablet for you within their policy time and not give a gift card unless you purchased the protection plan (which I did not). But when I was talking with Tabeo they informed me that if I do run into an issue with the tablet that they could help me over the phone, email, or through live chat and if it cannot be resolved by troubleshooting that they could set me up with an RMA to have it sent in for warranty replacement. As for the Tabeo Apps Store I don't see anything happening with this because it's just a filtered version of another application store used by many other tablet companies.
  • I walked into a ToysRus on 3/10/13 in Poughkeepsie, NY trying to return/exchange and did not have a receipt. First I was asked when I purchased it 10/2012. Then I was told there was a recall involving the charge port bending/breaking, running slow poor battery life. They also informed me they had numerous returns. They received a new shipment with all the "glitches" fixed and none of them, to date, had been returned. They then proceeded to exchange it for a new one from the January shipment. And this was taken care of without a receipt or service plan. I am extremely thankful to the staff at the Poughkeepsie, NY ToysRus for taking care of this matter!!!
