Graco Size4Me or Graco Headwise

Does anyone have one of these carseats?  We went shopping over the weekend with DS and had him sit in a few of the seats.  We liked the Size4Me, but when I got home and checked reviews, there were some not so good reviews, specifically regarding tightening the straps when the seat is in rearfacing.   Just wondering if anyone has one and can either confirm or deny these issues.  Or any other pros or cons. Thanks!

  • I got one and really liked it--we got it installed and went to put LO in it and the straps wouldn't tighten enough--they were really loose.  We returned it and now have a Recaro to install.

I know they are the same seat.  That doesn't change my question, however, still wondering if anyone has one that comment on it.

  • We have one as a second seat. I had a really hard time with the straps rear facing. I could get them tight enough but it made my wrists sore. We ended up returning the seat and then rebuying it a couple weeks later because I didn't like anything better as a second seat! Ha! The new one is actually easier to tighten so I don't know if we just had a bad seat before or what. There are some recs on the internet about how to make it easier to tighten (make sure the shoulder straps are at shoulder level, not below, etc). Our primary seat is an Evenflo Triumph Advance with the tightening knob on the side. If you are planning to RF for a long time (my son is over 2), it is sooooo much easier than any other seat with the normal tightening mechanism. The only reason we didn't get it as a second seat is that it isn't super easy to install and we would need to be taking it in and out of DH's car. I love it as a seat that stays installed though!!

  • We have the MySize70, which is also the same seat. I love it. I'm super excited that I'll be able to rear face DD2 until almost 4 years. It takes up a lot less room rfing than the seat we had prior. I haven't had any trouble adjusting the straps. Sometimes I just have to move the chest clip down or make sure the shoulder covers are out of the way so the straps have more room to tighten. Not a big deal.
