One of our boys was constantly peeing through his diaper and now he soaks his pull-up. I have tried everything from limiting his liquids at night to putting an extra pad of absorbency in his diaper/pull-up but nothing has worked. Now that we are in pull-ups at night it's even worse...those things don't soak up much. I've even tried a bigger size pull-up to see if that helps but so far it hasn't.
I'm sick of washing the sheets every morning. I don't want to buy pee pads (because washing sheets is probably cheaper, annoying but cheaper). What have you found that works? Anything? Or do I just have quit my whinning and deal?
Re: Soaking pull-up and sheets every morning
Honestly, I would just go back to diapers for the night. It sounds like his bladder is not mature enough yet. I know a lot of people whose kids are potty-trained during the day but they still use an over night diaper at night.
It sucks. Good luck!
Dumb question, but are you using nighttime pullups? Those are a little better
I second the ppers, there's really no need to have him in pullups this young. Most kids don't have nighttime awareness until at least 3-4 years old.
Also, One Step Ahead has reusable pee pee pads that go over the sheets. You just yank one off and tuck another one it. So, at least you don't have to wash the whole bed.

To this poster...There are night time pullups!?! Did not know this...and I'm kind of wondering why my sister (who has a 4yr old) didn't tell me this. I don't think she knows either.
For all the other responses...I am not expecting him to be night trained any time within the next couple years. I'm only shooting for day trained right now. I am just hoping for a solution to his peeing the bed every night.
The only reason why we started with pull ups at night is because we promoted it as a special big boy underpants for nap/night times because you are a big boy, etc. The past couple of nights I've been changing him into night diapers while he sleeps. 3-4hrs after bedtime his pull up is dry but he STILL pees the bed by morning. His brother very rarely is wet in the morning. I'm just sick of washing sheets everyday.
