So - I'm Back

Some of you may remember me, and all you newer 2IFers probably don't.  A recap of what we've been through...3 years of ttc and we were blessed with our incredible daughter.  We began ttc#2 immediately after our daughter's birth.  We are dealing with MFI.  DH underwent a vericocele repair surgery and that along with clomid (DH took) increased his sperm counts enough to get us DD.  However, this time around his sperm counts are lower and the clomid did not help.  So we moved on to IUI.  After many attempts, we finally completed 1 IUI cycle.  Then DH developed a seizure disorder...this is why I haven't been on the board for a while.

 We are now about 2 months out from DH last seizure.  We are not quite ready to get back to ttc at this time.  But with DD turning 3 in 2 weeks, I have been having a harder time waiting to get back to trying.  Today has been particularly bad...one of those days when every baby and pregnant woman makes me feel sad.  I have been able to put ttc aside for the past few months, but am now feeling anxious to have another child again.

Congrats to everyone that has had BFP in my time away, and good luck to all the rest of us still ttc.  Sorry for the long post and thanks to anyone who read the whole thing.

DD conceived after 3 years of ttc.
MFI - DH had varicocele repair and took Clomid to get DD b. 02/2010

TTC #2 since 6/2010
10/2012 DH diagnosed with Epilepsy
A few failed IUIs summer 2012 and 2013. 
DH taking clomid and waiting to see if he needs another vericocele repair. 
Hoping for a 2015 baby or babies. 
Wishing, hoping, waiting.

    I remember you. I'm still here. I am sorry you had a rough day.
    We are moving so I am not pursuing and treatments right now.
    I hope your husband continues to improve and your BFP comes too.

    Hi, I am new and just wanted to say hi.  I know what you mean about every baby and pregnant woman making you sad.  Every time I'm out, my eyes seem to gravitate to every round stomach (and they seem to be everywhere), and I just cringe inside and have to look away.

    I hope this year brings you and YH the BFP you have been waiting for.

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

    4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

    5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

    Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

    August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! 
    Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14

    Hi, April. Glad to see you back. I am sorry today was especially hard for you. You know that we all understand and are here for you.

    I hope that your DH continues to improve and that you get a BFP soon.

    Our IUI was a bust, so we are taking a break for the next few months. I'll be going on a trip to India and I have to get shots that you can't take when TTC and the timing and stress would be too much any way.

    I hope the 2 months away were good for you, but that you get the support you need now.

    18 cycles (3 with our RE) - Metformin + Clomid + HCG booster did the trick!

    Hi April!!!  I'm a creepy stalking lurker and glad to see you back and to hear that it's been two months since your husband's last seizure.  I hope the trend continues.  You already know how supportive these ladies are, so I'm sure the extra ears to bend will help.  Good luck, sweetie!
