So DS had his first allergic reaction. He had some organic happy baby yogi melts and vomited for a few hours after...the pedi said not to give him anything for 5 hours and to let his tummy rest. It was soo hard because he nurses to sleep and I still nurse every 2 hours at night...I held him and he was fighting to nurse and screamed and cried..the paci didn't help. I kept thinking this is the way it'll be like when he is weaning...it was soo hard. I finally let him nurse for a few seconds when he was exhausted and then switched my breast for the paci. He finally fell asleep...( needed the bf comfort before he could fall asleep.)
not looking forward to weaning. Now I think I bf til at least 2 if he wants..
anyone else's little one have an allergic reaction to solids?
Re: Allergic reaction
No, we are holding off on the high allergenic foods. I will wait to discuss it at her 9 mo appt because I have food allergies.
I am sorry that your LO got sick
I cannot imagine not being able to nurse to comfort LO since it is what they want.
I'm so glad all is normal again! Poor little guy, and poor mommy... the hardest part must have been not being able to give him what he really wanted
