I officially get the sh!tty mom award today. I had her in the boppy and literally walked ten feet away to get her bottle and she fell off the couch onto her head. The pediatrician is suppose to call me back but I am just so upset she seems fine, and cried for a few minutes but there are no bumps and she is acting normal. Ughh I feel terrible. :-(

My dd did this when she was about 3 months old. You will be flamed, but as my pedi said "they are pretty tough at that age".  She'll be fine. You'll just feel like crap, but it'll never happen again.

It happens, when my first was 2 months old I walked through her bedroom door and hit her head on the door frame... I felt awful.

We are not perfect. I'm sure you'll never leave her alone for a few moments again. It's scary, but we are human!!

My friend left her basement door open long enough to turn and throw a towel in the kitchen sink (in the same room) and her 1 yr old fell all the way down. The stairs were carpeted but she felt awful.?

I once turned my back on my nephew when he was 3 months old and he fell off of the bed and hit his head on the night table going down.

You're human. Don't beat yourself up. Babies can handle more than we think! ?
