I recently purchased the Orbit bassinet to go with my Orbit stroller.

I want the baby to sleep in the bassinet in my room for the first few months before she goes to her crib. I'm worried, though, that it might bother me how close this bassinet is to the ground. Thoughts?
On the one hand, it might be nice to look down and easily see the baby. On the other hand, my husband won't be able to see her at all, our cats might be more inclined to get in the bassinet (if we let them in the room, that is), and it might be nice to have the bassinet higher so it's more like "co-sleeping." I've considered getting one of those co-sleepers in addition to this bassinet, but I'm not sure it's worth it. Any thoughts on ideal bassinet height?
Re: What height is ideal for a bassinet (for sleeping)?
I'm with pp's...I would prefer the baby to be higher, especially if you just need to reach over in the night to replace a paci or shake the bassinet a little to get baby back to sleep, you don't want to have to bend way down to reach it.
I used an arm's reach mini co-sleeper with DS2 and loved it so much more than the bassinet (raised off the ground) that I had with DS1.
