Who has furbabies? Tell us a little about them and how are they with the LOs?
I have 3 dogs and 2 cats. I had 3 cats but had to put one down a few months back.
My oldest dog is a Corgi, he was abandoned by a work friend of DHs because he was "too old", (he's 9). He's the boss of the house and keeps the other 2 in line. DH was worried about him with DD but he is the best with her. He lets her pull his hair and she climbs on him and he never moves. He even comes back for more if we make him walk away.
Our Great Pyrenees is almost 4. He's such a big marshmallow of a dog. Lets even the cats push him around. Our youngest cat is his best friend. He doesn't seem to care about DD one way or the other, he basically avoids her.
Our youngest dog is our 3 year old Border Collie; full of energy. He's DDs protector. He'll sleep under her crib and growls at the other dogs if they try to wrestle around her. We're working to correct him from growling ever around her and he's progressing really well.
Then we have my old cat I got back in college, she's almost 8. She's grouchy with everybody except me but she's suprisingly good with DD! She'll hop in my lap if DD is there and let her pet her and even pull her hair to a point lol.
Our youngest cat is almost 2, she's a crazy cat. She'll run around the house at all hours over nothing. DD thinks she is absolutly HILARIOUS. She's not afraid of DD either.
So many people asked us what we were going to do about all our pets when I was pregnant, like we'd have to get rid of them all or something. They are all so good with her which makes me really happy because they are all part of the family!!
Re: GTKY
I am a step-mom to a 14 year old black lab mixed with a little something else but we aren't sure what. She found my husband about 13 years ago. She wandered into his yard and he took her in. She is a great dog and pretty much just ignores the kids because she is so old and just tired all the time.
I have never had a dog in my life until now. The dog hair drives me crazy sometimes but I try to not let it bother me
We also have two cats Bean an 11.5 year old minx who is black and white with a stub of a tail and Black Sheep a 6 year old himalian mut mix, she is black and long hair and shinny. They both are great with kids when they want to be and hide or stay up high when they don't want to be.
Honestly I do not give them the attention I used to when it was them and one kid but soon the babies will be less needy and they'll get more cuddles again.
We have 3 dogs, a pug named PJ, a chihuahua named Teddy, and a Great Dane name Orion. Ages 7, 6, and 2. Kyler was born on Orion's 1st birthday.
Kyler LOVES them. I also groom dogs on the weekend, and kyler really loves those dogs. If you say "puppy" with an infliction, he goes haywire and can't stop giggling.
Currently we have two dogs, Bruiser and Turbo. (We had two kitties until about 3 months ago when we let them go to DS's God Father's care since we couldn't give them what they needed.)
Bruiser is a Redbone Coonhood/Boxer mix and is about a year and a half old. He is 85 lbs of pure love and cuddles. He thinks he is 10 lbs and is a total lap dog if you allow it. He is THE BEST with DS. Gives him tons of kisses and lets him climb, pinch, pulls, etc. Its really very cute. They are pretty much best friends.
Turbo is my little girl. We got her when she was 8 weeks and she is now 3 and a half years old. We got her during Snowmegadon when we lived in MD, so I was home with her for about a month and, looking back, it was like being on maternity leave. Up 5 times a night to take her out, teaching her things...now my little babes is all grown up. She is a Beagle/Bichon Frise mix, around 18lbs. Super duper smart, so much so, it gets her into trouble a lot. She is also good with DS but I need to watch her because of jealousy.

Our first is Sherman, a rabbit we've had for three years. He was one of a group of siblings who were rescued from neglect. He was the runt and had bites all over them since they had to fight for what little food they were given.
Next we got our rescue dog Boddington. He's a shepherd/husky/small terrier mix. Sherman was not too happy when we brought him home but they amazingly get along.
Then I fell in love with a "returned to Petco" bunny. Apparently, when someone buys a pet and gives it back to the store they give the animal away for free. I couldn't resist so Beatrix joined our family.
Now I am trying to convince DH that we are ready for a second dog.
The bunnies look at LO with curiosity and Boddington slobbers her with kisses
We have a 3-year-old Boston Terrier named Guinness that we got when he was 10 weeks old. Our bridal party got him for us the day after our wedding as a wedding gift to us (back story: Just a month before our wedding, DH & I drove from NJ to OH (about an 8 hour drive) to pick up a 12-week-old Boston that we named Kelso. About an hour and a half into the drive home, the puppy had a seizure in the car. DH insisted that it wasn't a seizure because he was perfectly fine after a minute or two. Then, about an hour later, he had another seizure that lasted longer. These continued every 20 minutes or so and we finally found an emergency vet clinic somewhere in PA. He seized there in my arms in the waiting room and when the doctors finally stopped the seizure they realized that he had a liver shunt that was causing this and he had to be put down. It was an extremely traumatizing event and I still can hear the poor animal literally screaming during these seizures. It's one of the most awful, haunting sounds I've ever heard. Anyway, I was devastated and spent the rest of the ride home and most of the next day crying). So, the gift of another puppy so soon after that was very bittersweet and I cried when they came over with Guinness and gave him to us.
He has always been pretty good with the baby. At first he was super curious about him and would sniff and try to lick. Now that DS is mobile, the dog will still hang out with him but most of the time just minds his own business. DS LOVES his dog, though - he gets SO excited every time he sees "gih gih"! He also really loves my parents' dogs, two pitbulls named Sarge and Mango (3-year-old boy and 2-year-old girl, respectively).
We may get another dog in a few years; I'd love either another Boston or a pitbull.

DH and I each had two cats when we met. Phil and Lil (mine) and Aly and AJ (his). After we got married and moved into a house, we got Petey. He was a rescue Australian Shephard/Border Collie/Lab (basically a mutt). He's really sweet and very well behaved. They are all good with Luca. Petey loves him. Phil loves him. AJ is ambivalent. Aly and Lil are scared of him haha.
