Pregnant after 35

New here

Hi, I am 40 expecting my second child in early October. My daughter is 10. I am a firm believer in midwifery, so I expect to see a midwife this time around. I just got an early ultrasound I have several risk factors for ectopic, but thankfully, little bean is in the correct spot. We are very excited I am already taking steps to stay low risk diet, exercise.

Re: New here

  • Congrats and welcome!  Even though most OBs will automatically classify you as "high risk" based on age, I personally don't feel any different being pregnant at 42 than I did when I was pregnant with our older kids (12 and 14).  Those pregancies were when I was in my late 20's/30.  GL!
