hello fellow dad i am not only new to this site but also to being a future dad. My wife and I are expecting our first baby due 09/07/2013. It has been a roller coaster of emotions so far and plenty more to come. any suggestions on how to deal with all of the emotions associated with this great miracle.
Re: New to the Bump
Welcome!
Just had my first born last August, but our original due date was in September.
We are not a big group here, but we are all great dads who love their families. So my advice is visit here when you have any questions, read up on the threads, and have fun waiting to meet your child. We love updates, so keep us in the loop!!
Some advice.....sleep now while you can....trust me! And go on a babymoon during the second trimester....it will be the last time the two of you will get to be just the two of you before the baby gets here. And have fun with it whenever you can!
Like said before sleep is always a good thing and ride the roller coster and love it. Good days will come and bad days will come but remember the big picture.
A baby moon is always great doesn't have to be a big trip. We just went to Toronto for a weekend and did all the touristy things. We are from buffalo so it was a short trip but a nice trip
Welcome. As it has been said, just ride the roller coaster and get your sleep.
If you run into any questions, we have a group, albeit small at the moment, of dads who have, or are currently going through what you are and will help with any advice possible.
Welcome!
I second and third all of the advice above...get some sleep, cause you will never truly understand how important it is until it's gone. Also, delve into the registry...it can be a lot of fun when you get into toys and cool gadgets...my kid is starting to hold and play with stuff and I'm excited that I picked out things that he now favors.
