Sick kid- will this pass?

My DD2 is sick all the time.

Week 1 of her life she was in hospital for 3 days due to 100.4 fever.

Week 6 and 7 she's had a cold.

Week 8- back in the hospital with 101 fever.

My DD1 brings home things from day care and I am a teacher.  Please tell me this will get better. I hate having a sick little one.  Its draining on me. Will she always be sick because she has an older sister?

Is it just a fever or is there other symptoms-her ears?

Both of my kids were sick way more in the 1st year of life than in any year since.  Granted, mine never got super sick and we rarely have either of them sick anymore at almost 5 and 6 1/2 years but for both, in their first years, they had a ton of colds and other minor things.  Both went to daycare.
