Poop Question

Hello Ladies, my daughter is 10 weeks old.  Im starting to see a pattern of no poop for 2 days and then an expolsion of poop and yes its still mustardy seedy color but going all over the place so bad that its up her stomach and everywhere else.  Im just wondering if this is a sign that she needs a differ formula?  She is getting both breast milk and formula.  We are using the basic Similac Advance.  Is pooping supposed to be this bad everytime?  Ick lol.

I believe that FF babies should poop every day, but I can't recall. Does she seem to have an upset tummy all the time or is just after she poops?

The pedi just told us that it's normal for them to not poop every day. At least you know the schedule and can avoid going out on a poop day before the event happens. My cousin would poop every 10 daysyou can imagine what a mess that was!

The Dr. said sometimes they do get constipated from formula but these messy poop explosions are shocking.  She is gassy most of the time too, I hear her tummy gurggiling and she farts but she doesnt really scream or cry that she is gassy or in pain.  I worry that maybe she is on the wrong formula.

Yeah I guess we will have to hang a sign on the front door "privacy needed poop in progress"  The first time it happened I just stood there in shock and couldnt move. LOL.

Maybe try a gentle formula? Formula is a tad harder for a baby's belly to digest, so it could be causing the issues. I have seen a few bad explosions with my FB, she was FF but we had to put her on soy because she had a milk allergy.

My daughter is FF and the doctor said its normal for them to go a day or a couple days without pooping
If she seems upset about it and its hurting her, it could be the formula, you could try a sensitive formula and see if that helps

I was also breast feeding up until last week
