Angelcare monitor: experience?

I know we've talked about baby monitors before but can't find any.
I'm thinking about switching to the angelcare monitor because of a few scares we've had this week SwaddleMe covering his face earlier this week, and then last night choking on his spit up from reflux and unable to breath/gasping for air

Those of you who have it do you recommend it? Do you have the video one or just the motion sensor? How often do you get false alarms?

Re: Angelcare monitor: experience?

  • I have the motion sensor angel care monitor and I love it. Yes, there have been occasional false beeps, but if there's no motion detected for 5 seconds it'll let off a warning beep and then that's it, unless it still doesn't a few seconds later. We've only ever had the warning beep. It really just gives me piece of mind.

  • I'm going to buy with the angelcare monitor or the Snuza. I have no clue which or it get. I like things about each tog them. Anyone have any advice? Prefer one over the other?
  • I have the regular motion sensor AngelCare. It's good. It's super, super sensitive though, so be prepared for false scares. I can usually hear him breathing, it's so sensitive, so that itself is a plus. But then if he moves off the sensor pad or goes into a deep sleep, it will go off and wake him up. I hate that both units beep. Maybe if the parent unit only beeped it would be better, but I don't see the point of the nursery unit in the crib with baby beeping. Whatever.. it's good. I'd give it a 8-8.5 out of 10. :)

  • I love our Angel Care motion sensor. It is great for piece of mind since LO has been in his crib in his own room since the first night.
