This check in is for Friday, February 8, 2013.
Hi ladies!
Holy BFP Announcements Batman!!!
Big, huge congrats to egsquare, jennaqueena & laurid75! Wishing you the very best and a happy and healthy nine months ahead!
This is a check in for those of us that are TTC #2 or more and that have had one or more losses. A few board members thought it would be nice to connect with other 2IF ladies who have had losses since it's nice to have the support and friendship of others going through similar experiences.
Check in is every Friday. Please note it may not be until afternoon or evening but I am planning to keep it going every Friday!
Welcome to jazzerbabe28 & lmielocl1!
Any others interested in joining, please post an introduction that includes your TTC history and your current status and I will add you to the list.
**If you do not check in for three consecutive weeks, I will remove you from the list of current members, but if you'd like to be a part of it again, just join in again!

There will also be a question of the week as a GTKY.
bklyninri - How are you feeling? I saw on the other check in that you were having a hard time with the recovery. How have the last few days been? Hope it is going better.
KKDRAGONFLY - How are you doing today? I saw your post from earlier in the week and I hope you're feeling better.
Lauren79 - How are you feeling? Saw your post regarding the recent bleeding. It looked like you were also going for an HCG check today? Let us know how it turns out - wishing you all the best that it was AF bleeding.
iloveshanej - Big, huge hugs to you lady. How are you feeling today? I am just so saddened by your loss and hope that you are taking good care of yourself and that your DD and husband are taking good care of you too.
SigmundsGirl - I'm just so, so sorry that things didn't turn out better this cycle. I saw on your other post that you are planning to take a break for a few months. I wish you all the best during your break and hope that when you start TTC again in the spring that you get your BFP! Lots of hugs to you!
efhoping2010 - How are things going with you this week? Anything new?
jazzerbabe28 - Welcome again to the check in. How is your recovery process and break going this week?
lmielocl1 - Welcome again to the check in. How was your appointment on Monday?
kimberm0511 - We missed you on the check in thread last week but I saw your update a few days ago. So glad to hear your betas are going down. Hopefully AF is just around the corner if she hasn't shown yet. Let us know how you're doing!
DahliaFlower - We missed you too! How is everything going with you?
QOTW: Valentine's Day is coming up. Are you doing anything special to celebrate? And/or what is the best and/or worst Valentine's Day gift you've ever received or given?
As always, if anyone has any suggestions to make the check in better, please PM me!

Re: *~*~*2IF TTCAL Weekly Check In*~*~*
Hi, yes...had complications with clotting, bleeding and pain in the beginning of the week but feeling MUCH better now.
No real update except I may need to switch RE practices to something that is slightly more accomodating to my schedule! I am a teacher and my principal, who has been amazingly supportive through all of this, told me that I am going to have to take off if I have any appt's past a certain time. Nice of her to phrase it that way but I really don't have the means to take off whenever! My dr. cut back his hours making things really difficult for me. I also travel almost an hour to his office and back!
QOTW: Nothing planned. My birthday is 2 days later and for years that has been a bigger focus than Valentine's day which I am not a huge fan of. Best present ever...I think a massage?!?
Hey everyone! Congrats to the BFPs of the group! No update on me. Just waiting for AF. Trying to stay busy!
QOTW: I hate Valentine's Day and always have. I tell my DH to not bother wasting the money on a gift. I try to avoid the insane rush at restaurants and usually stay in and watch a movie or something.
Although, candy is always good. haha!
My appt went as I expected with one twist. My RE is recommending ivf but the twist is he thinks we should do PGd due to my age and history. I am really struggling with what to do. one more Iui or move to ivf? We have done 3 Iuis since our loss last June although only 2 with our new RE since we moved. My DHs counts have decreases over time too. We are taking a break this cycle as I had an eczema flare up and am on steroids to get that under control. We are going to do a SA for my DH and make a decision from there. I go back and forth. My DS and our angel are from Iuis but i know the chances of it working again as we get older are low.
Any advice or words of wisdom? I am open ears!!!
No plans for valentines day. My parents are visiting that weekend so hopefully I will not go crazy!
Wishing everyone the best!
Congrats to the BFP's!
I am feeling ok. I had my hcg checked today, it is 11 so it was not AF bleeding. I spoke with my RE and since my periods are so irregular I am going in Monday for an u/s. If my lining is thin, I can start a cycle of injectibles. One of my RE's recommended having an HSG since I haven't had one since right before I got pregnant with DD. I scheduled this for Monday as well since it was the only appointment they had next week for an HSG. I hope this is ok with them and they will let me do the HSG on Monday. I wanted to wait to see what the u/s told but since there was only one appointment left for the HSG I took it. I was prescibed valium for whenever I did the HSG but not sure if I will take it since I really don't want to have a driver, but I get so nervous! I don't know what I will do. Last time it was NBD, I was just so nervous. Not sure how I will feel this time, since I know what to expect.
BTW. I got the most amazing necklace in the mail today. It is a glass circle that says "Too Beautiful for Earth" It has 4 angel wing chams on one side to honor my babies. I love it.
QOTW: Worst thing I got was nothing. Best thing was probably flowers. We do not make a big deal over it. I always tell DH to got to Trader Joes or Whole Foods if he wants to get me flowers. I don't want him spending a fortune on flowers. We have made reservations to go out to dinner and we are bringing DD.

I have been lurking on this board for quite some time and have finally decided it's time to become a full fledged "member". After conceiving our dd on literally the first try, we have been ttc #2 since August of 2009.
After 15 months of struggling we finally conceived in November of 2010. The pregnancy ended as quickly as we found out about it and was deemed to be chemical pregnancy. At the follow-up appointment our OB quickly determined, since I had now been pregnant twice, there logically must be something wrong with my husband. They did a semen analysis and found "abnormalities". Without doinig further testing our doctor decided we need to move on to IUI. (Wow were we naive....and desperate for a baby!) They put me on 100 mg of clomid and we did a trigger shot, but to no avail.
Something wasn't sitting right so we decided to switch to a different clinic that specializes in infertility. After the first month they diagnosed me with low progesterone (likely the reason for our miscarriage) and determined that, despite having extremely regular cycles, I am likely anovulatory and would need meds to help ovulate.
Since then, we have been on clomid off and on since May of 2011. I struggled severely with large cysts, and intense, constant pain, including several debilitating episodes. We spent several months in a "hold" pattern due to cysts before we finally decided to do an exploratory lap in April of 2012 after which I was diagnosed with stage 3 endo.
Despite all the scar tissue my tubes were fortunately clear so I did 3 months of lupron (hello menopause!) followed by another lap in August to remove the remaining scar tissue.
We tried on our own for a few months before heading back for another round of clomid followed by a few more months of waiting for the cysts to subside.
We finally decdided that enough is enough. Mentally, physically, and emotionally I think we are shot, so we decided that in 2013 we are going to give SIF the boot and be as aggressive as possible.
We have moved on to an RE and had our first consult 2 weeks ago. She immediately determined that due to my advanced stage endo that IUI with injectables would be our best bet.
I just started my first shot last night (75 of bravelle) and will go in on Monday for labs and a u/s to see how/if I am responding.
Phew! Sorry for the long post! Nice to have a place to vent, ask questions and get support! Best of luck to everyone this month!

Well finally after a week of bleeding post D&C I am finally done and feeling a little better. Emotionally I am getting stronger since I know it wasn't anything I did wrong. I go back to the doc on the 18th for a check up. Thank you for welcoming me to the group.
QOTW: not a big valentines day fan, I prefer to celebrate with my hubs all year long so no big plans
No real update trying to find enough money for IVF/ICSI #3, applied to a program and received a few donations but I still need DH on board, now an end of March cycle start date does not seem so far away. Also still fighting with my insurance about covering my D & C surgery from July.
Love seeing the BFP's
QOTW: I am a huge romantic which is a lot for DH to live up to. This year I was feeling sad and overdid, I bought him two wool ties and a Chinese brush painting set. I think I will make him a card though I am not artistic at all.
