Babies on the Brain

Snow day

Since everything else is closed here, I'm going to take one too.  At least this morning.

We have gotten so much snow since yesterday.  Mh cleaned the driveway after work yesterday and you couldn't even tell by bedtime.

He called to tell me to not go in if I could help it.  He got stuck at end of the driveway and my car sits lower.

When they plow trucks come through they would just push more heavy wet snow and make it worse. It's to much for the snowblower and a shovel.

Bring on the 70 degree days.

Re: Snow day

  • Gah.  Stay safe.  I remember it snowed quite a bit in 2010 while I was on maternity leave with E.  We stayed in for most of December.

  • No snow here, but half of my office is apparently taking PTO today? Which is fine with me, I can spend half the day doing homework. :)

Enjoy it! I would snuggle in a blanket and watch trashy TV if I stayed home!

  • I got lucky and my boss just sent me a text just asking me if I can make up the day sometime in the next few months and to stay home.

Then my brother plowed our driveway despite being up plowing yesterday since 4 in the morning.  We have a small driveway, but I never expect him to do it so I love when he does do it.

I'm so happy he did.  I attempted to shovel, but I had to give up.  There was just to much snow, and I have no clue how to work the snowblower and dh is gone this weekend.

So I'm in my sweatpants watching maury and bumping.

  • We're getting hit right now (I'm in Hartford CT). I'm sitting at work waiting for it to get bad enough so I can go home early and they keep bumping up the time the snow is supposed to become heavy. I'm so unmotivated and ready to leave and go enjoy the snow haha
  • Boo!! We had one pretty day earlier this week and the rest has been awful. No snow, just rain, cold, and overall gloom. I'm very much ready for spring.
