NBR: What does, " Scissor Sisters" mean on this board?

Ok, so I am not been on the Bump that long and I was wondering why some people have an image of, "Scissor Sisters" at the end of their message. Does it mean that they are gay or maybe just gay supporters? I was surprised to see this come up so frequently. I did not realize how many same sex couples are having babies. I think it is totally cool but I didn't realize it was this common! Thanks

I believe it stems from another board, but I didn't think it had anything to do with same sex couples.

It's an inside joke from some shenanigans on another board. It's not really meant as an declaration of sexual orientation.

I know I have it, but I'm not sure exactly what it is.  It's some kind of inside joke from the Parenting board.  I'm not on that board, but my Bump e-besties are, and they added it to my siggy.  It's not a same sex thing as far as I know.

Really? This whole time I also thought it was a same sex couple thing.. I thought that was your situation especially with the "my ute's been basted" tag line. I was fully supportive, but now I feel like an big jerk.
