Am having a new little pain ... this one is quick and sharp, not unbearably painful, but more than just annoying. It's on my left side, not all the way on the left, but left of center. It comes and goes, even when I'm sitting still.
I'm doing my best dealing with anxiety while pg and I'm doing better, but can't help but worry when new aches and pains come up. I've read a lot online about round ligament pain (RLP) and my doctor described it to me at my last appointment but I feel like I don't really understand what it's supposed to feel like.
So, have at it! Tell me what it feels like to you, and if it sounds anything like what I'm feeling. Thanks in advance.
Re: Please describe Round Ligament Pain to me?
And, for context, I'm 17 weeks.
And I don't know why my OP is in bold. Having a major pregnancy brain kinda day!
Mine usually happens when I roll over from one side to the other when I'm trying to get to sleep. If I catch it in time, it just feels like an achey pulling sensation... but if I don't catch it in time and keep rolling, it's a stabbing (very painful) sensation.
My doctor told me to describe the pain and sensation to DH as if he had just pulled his groin... only in your belly. They're not fun!
I just went to the dr today because of a sharp stabbing pain I have been having for the past 3 days. Mine is not coming and going but all the time unless I am sitting down. Its so bad sometimes that I can't walk or breathe deeply otherwise it feels like a knife is poking into me on my right lower abdomen. The dr prescribed me some tylenol with codeine which seems to be helping so far. I also got prescribed a week of bed rest till the pain subsides.
Hope your pain stays at bay and congrats on your pregnancy!
