Where does your LO nap?

We've been pretty much letting him nap wherever he falls asleep, on us, in the bouncer, in the swing, in the moby... Wherever. But now that he's getting more on a schedule where I know I'll get a decent nap out of him at certain times, I'm thinking of trying to put him in the crib for those.

I've been putting him in the swing because its convenient. But I really would like to get him in the habit of going down for a nap without the movement of the swing or the moby. I made this mistake with DD. I could never get her to nap anywhere but the swing or the car and she gave up naps completely at 9 months except for the occasional falling asleep in the car.

Is your LO on any kind of schedule? Do you purposefully put them down for nap time, or just let them fall asleep whenever or wherever? At what age did you start doing what you're doing?

We have her nap in her crib, because soon she will be im daycare and I want her to nap in the crib there. But, it gets old and at least one nap a day I have her nap somewhere else, the carseat while we run errands, the bouncy seat since they also nap in those at daycare, etc. Her naps aren't scheduled yet, but we follow a loose routine of eat, play, sleep, so I just put her in the crib when she gets tired. We have done naps in the crib from the start, because DD1 never napped in the crib and it made daycare a nightmare, so it is my main goal to have this baby love crib sleeping! I guess it just depends on where you want naps to be down the road, and start working toward it now. If I stayed at home and no daycare, I wouldn't care if she never napped in the crib, you know?

Our little girl mostly naps in her swing. Her nursery is very bright during the day and she doesn't do well at all sleeping in there unless its night time. That being said, when she falls asleep on me, I do put her down in her crib. I use the swing when its naptime and she's not falling asleep yet.

She naps whereever - on the bed next to me, in the pack n play, in her bassinet, in her swing/bouncer, being held, in the car seat, etc.  No schedule yet since she pretty much just follows the routine of eat, sleep, poop

LO use to take all of his naps pretty much in his swing but now we are transferring all of his 'day' naps to his crib. He is pretty much on a somewhat regular schedule. 9:30am-10am Nap and 1-2pm Nap. I know eventually his evening nap will disappear and his bedtime will move up so for his evening nap - we are still in the swing.
