Safe Crib Paint?

Is there a crib paint that is safe for the babies? We were given two cribs, one we have to return eventually and the other is ours to keep.  The one we can keep is a deep cherry dark wood almost. The one we have to give back is black/espresso in color. I like the dark wood and was hoping to paint the crib we are keeping to match the other.

Any suggestions on paint to use that wouldn't be harmful to the babies?

I would not paint a crib. Just my opinion though. Good luck with whatever you decide.
