Swaddle Question

Lurker here that finally has a question. Do you place LO in the swaddle before or after feeding? Not sure if it makes a difference, but my LO is FF.

My little guy is only swaddled at night but I do the Super Swaddle before he has his last bottle before bed, I've been doing this for a few weeks and he sleeps better and longer.

I too only swaddled at night- Gracie slept much longer and better, but she really fights the swaddle-me these days so we gave up on it. She slept much longer periods when swaddled!

I also only swaddle at night. And I take DS out of the swaddle to nurse.

Up until she was about a month old I would swaddle her after nursing. Since then I swaddle her before. The reason for the change is that in the beginning I wanted to make sure she would stay awake, now I don't need to worry about that anyore

I swaddle after because if I swaddle before he falls asleep too quickly and won't nurse.

Whats a super swaddle?

A Super Swaddle is where you use two blankets. There is a Youtube video that shows how it's done. I have no idea how to link. The one blanket is laidd in a horizontal rectangle and wrapped where the arms can't break free, then swaddled with another blanket like normal. My baby is Houdini and beats himself if he can get his arms free,so this works for us

I swaddle for naps and night. We swaddle after eating and activity/awake time, because she doesn't get a good nap without. She's way too twitchy. At night, she gets a bath and some cluster feedingI guess you can call it they even though I FFand then swaddled for the night. We don't take her out to eat at night. We swaddle with Miracle Blankets, and you can get their feet and bobos out for diaper changes.

When DH is home we swaddle in between sides of a feeding. Otherwise I swaddle before so she will sleep better.

I only swaddle DD at night and I do it before I start feeding her.

(We put her in the Swaddle Pod and then the the Swaddle Me since the smallest size Swaddle Me is still too big for my little shrimp!)

We only swaddle at night. I will feed her and then swaddle her and put her back on the breast to just top her off and that usually puts her to sleep. When she wakes up in the middle of the night I unswaddle her, change and feed her then reswaddle her again and put her back to the breast to top her off and calm her down.

When she wakes up at night, I change her diaper, reswaddle her, then feed her so I can put her right back to sleep!
