i think andrew is getting dependant on his binky to sleep

ugh. the last few nights he seems like he needs this to sleep - when it falls out he cries. he doesnt need it to fall asleep 100% of the time, but when he does it is aweful. i almost wish he would find he thumb acuratly! i feel like our nights are getting worse rather than getting better. :(

  • Gianna needs the binky as well.  It is frustrating but the pediatrician said they can't form habits until 3-4 months and not to worry about it.  We will win the bad parent of the year award for this but....we tuck the binky partially in her pjs or swaddlewrap and then it is harder to spit out.  She occasionally finds her fingers but it is quick and fleeting!

  • DD was like that too, until she figured out how to get it back in her mouth by herself, now as long as she can see it she can get it back in on her own... hopefully he figures out something :) its only temp anyway... but DD has always needed it to fall asleep.

  • DD LOVES hers too.  She does pretty well with keeping it in at night,  or staying asleep when it falls out, but it's nap time that she cries if it falls out.  I know this is probably bad, but at nap time I give her a frog that she loves to cuddle with and she snuggles up to it and it helps keep her paci in. Lately though, the only place she will nap anyway is in her swing, so she doesn't really have the toy in her bed and I'm usually right next to her when she's in the swing.
