How does chat work?

Being only a week or so new to this board, I'm just curious. I've seen posts announcing chats, but not with a link provided. Are chats open or closed, by invite or for anyone, or are there some of both? I scoured the blog to see if I could find anything on chats but either missed it or it isn't there.  

Anyways, I'm not wanting to butt in where I may not be wanted, I was just curious about opportunities to chat with others and thought rather than sit and wonder, I'd just come out and ask. If I'm out of line for asking please let me know, and thanks in advance for any insights! :)

June 2013 Testing Results: Progesterone: 31.7, LH: 5, FSH: 5, Estradiol: 161
Clomid cycles Nov. 2013 and Jan, Feb, and March 2014

    Hi gsco.  Everybody is welcome to chat, but we don't post the link here because of dirty lurkers and cray-crays :P  I'll PM the link to you.  There are usually people in there every evening, and Tuesday nights we have chat with the grads.
    PAIF/SAIF, PGAL/PAL welcome.
    TTC since March 2010 ~ Dx Unexplained IF September 2011
    2011: IUI + Clomid = CP#1
    2012: 3 more IUIs + Clomid = 3 more CPs. One on-our-own pg, also CP
    2013: BTB IUI + Lupron/Follistim/Prometrium/PIO = CP #6
    IF testing, RPL testing, Autoimmune testing = all normal
    So lost.
