Teething and cough?

This morning my ds woke up with a fever. 101.4. After undressing, cool rag, and Motrin. We have been between 98.8 and 99.7 all day. He has a cough and runny nose. I know that fever and runny nose go along with teething. But does a cough? He is cutting 2 top teeth right now. The poor guy is coughing so bad right now.

I'm not sure, but i hope he starts to feel better soon!

I know!  This cough kept him up from his normal bed time at 8 until 10 when I gave up and brought him in bed with us.  After 2 hours of DH and I both sleeping on the edges while he laid sideways across the whole bed snoring, ha! I put him back in his bed.

In my experience teeth tend to cause fevers of 100 or less 101 and up tend to be a virus. My pedi seconds this, still treat the same way but just keep an eye on it.

DD had those symptoms when she cut her 2 teeth... but I think it may have been a cold with the teething b/c I know she was exposed...
