Re-Intro

Hello Everyone,

I've posted before and have been lurking for the past few months, but I've never formally introduced myself. I'm in the process of TTC #1. I had my first visit to a new RE last month. They tested for my AMH, Prolactin and thyroid levels. My thyroid and prolactic came back normal. My AMH came back as .016, which is pretty much undetectable. So, now the plan is to go back for more bloodwork on CD3 of my next cycle to test my FSH and estrogen levels. But, according to the RE, she expects my FSH to come back pretty high, meaning I have POF. So, of course, I got the "donor egg" speech because the chances of me conceiving a child with my eggs is slim to none as an "older" mother (37) even with ovarian stimulation (injectibles). Naturally, I'm pretty devastated. I'm dying to burst into hysterical tears but I can't because, guess what, I'm at work. I feel so stupid and like I'm being punished because I wanted to find the right person and build a stable life first. Thanks for listening to me vent.

welcome I hope your stay here is short- I am sorry you are going through this.

Wait till you get all the tests back before you freak out... I know I know very hard to do.  And that your RE said that without all the tests in isn't cool or responsible in my opinion.

I just wanted to say that I wish you didn't have to go through this and I hope you are able to find a path that you are ok with.
