Gliders and Rockers, What are you getting?

This may have been asked already, but what rockers are you guys using? I'm looking for something modern, yet comfy, but doesn't cost an arm and leg.

We're doing this, too - but not from Carolyn's mom My SIL gave it to us. I can't remember the brand but I will look tonight bc it is so comfy I want it to be my new bed.

I'll be using the rocking recliner that we already have, unless DH wants to splurge for another. If we get a new one, I'd probably still opt for a regular, cushy recliner. I slept in it with DS a few times when I otherwise couldn't get him back to sleep.

DH's grandma is giving us an old rocking chair. I'm very excited to repair/refinish it. It's been in their family for 50+ years.

We're getting a glider/ottoman combo that I found through Target.  They have some nice stuff online.  My grandma already said she is buying it for us!

We got a Dutailier glider with ottoman on Craigslist.  For what we paid ($150) we could have bought a brand new one at Target or Walmart but I wanted really good quality so it would last.  We found one in great shape that retailed for $600.  It's not my first choice for wood or fabric colors but I had a function-over-form attitude for that purchase.

I am using the rocker my Dad bought my mom when they found out she was pregnant with me.  Since my Mom isn't alive anymore I am hoping it makes me feel closer to her too.

We got the rocking chair that my mom rocked my sister in when we were LO's, so we will be using that and she is going to make new cushions for us. I'm excited.

We ordered our glider from a local baby boutique. It's an ivory line-type material and super comfy.

I wish I knew the brand but I forgot what it was... sorry

We used an Ikea Ektorp chair and ottoman with DD1 and will use it again in DD2's room.  We already had it and didn't feel a need to get a glider.  I breastfed and rocked her to sleep in it just fine.

we have a big fat ugly comfy rocking recliner that i'm going to use. i swear i could sleep in that thing.
