Holy Crap

I am still in shock and can't believe the experience I just had.

Recap - My first beta was huge - 9000 so they wanted to schedule u/s for today and they also sounded concerned that I may have ALREADY been pregnant when they did IUI.

Went in for the U/S and I heard the Dr ask the nurse "how many follicles did she have?" Nurse said "one" and then I said "oh no!" looked at the nurse and she held up three fingers to me. I lost it and started hysterically crying. The Dr looked around for awhile , took a bunch of picures, and then we talked inhis office. Basically he sees THREE "areas." he hesitated to call them sacs. One is larger than the other two, which would indicate an earlier and further along pregnancy. That would also explain my crazy high HCG levels. So basically there is a chance we conceived on our own at the end of Dec., and then again wth IUI - which then split into identical twins!!! During the u/s the nurse actually called another nurse in t hold my hand b/c I was such a total mess....The Dr did NOT see a heartbeat in the larger sac/area whatever the heck it is and that pregnancy (if it is one) would be like 7-7 1/2 weeks so I would think there would be a clear heartbeat by now???

They took more blood today and are checking that. They also think they might have CD3 bloodwork stll on hand and although estrogen and fsh didn't indicate pregnancy, they are going to re-scan for HCG. Then we need to wait and see what happens, another u/s in a week.

I'm totally in shock right now.

OMG, that is totally insane! Does this mean we'll be seeing your story on "I didn't even know I was pregnant"?

Seriously though, that's a pretty insane story! It's a good thing you post here often or I'd be calling MUD, it's just that crazy sounding.

Don't really have any words of wisdom here. Just hoping you get some better answers soon and that at least one of those "areas" is where your sticky baby will be seen soon!

Did you bleed or get a period before IUI? Just wondering bc you could possibly be a candidate for a reality show!

Oh my gosh! This is crazy! I don't even know how I would begin to process any of that information. Did you call your DH? Mine would fall to the floor. Many T&P's coming your way and hope you get some clear answers next week. ((hugs))

I called him - he is pretty level headed and mellow and even keeled so there was no big reaction (certainly not like my dramatic sobbing!!) I think we both are waiting to see what next week's ultrasound shows. My one friend told me maybe I can go on Dr.Oz....:)
