Will DD be warm enough like this?

Hi Ladies,

We are going to Vermont next week for vacation.  I wanted to know if I wear her in the Ergo babywearing coat and put a warm hat on her if she will be warm enough.  I would probably dress her in warm fleece pants and a long sleeve onesie with a either a sweater or a fleece hoodie.  We're not planning on spending a lot of time outside.

  • I think so, but I tend to err on the side of under dressing.

  • Should be fine. DS was always toasty when he was in the Ergo, as he kept warm from me. You might want to throw on some booties or something for the feet.

  • I also might add a layer of baby legs under the pants. We always seem to double layer the top and forget the bottom. Her torso will be warm up against you, but those dangling legs will be chilly!

  • Pretty sure she will be fine. I would have DD in Ergo in a long sleeve onesie and warm pants and socks. I would put a hat on her and then where my oversize winter coat. Only her head would stick out. She was never cold. They are little heaters! I would actually think if you put a sweatshirt on her she might get too got.

  • I'm not sure how old your DD is, but I'd probably put her in something footed if she still has footed PJ's or a sleep & play outfit. My DD's pants always seem to end up halfway up her calves when I'm holding her, and I wouldn't want to be worrying about that while walking around. So I'd probably do socks, a warm sleeper, and some type of coat and hat like you mentioned.
