I like it. I tend to like softer-sounding names over names that have a lot of strong consonants, so I prefer Brennan to Brandon/Brendon.

It makes me think of Will Ferrell's character in Step Brothers. Doubt too many people will make that connection, so if you like it, go for it. It's nms but not a bad name.

I think of it as a feminine name. Two reasons for that (1) I'm a fan of Bones and the character's last name is Brennan, but that's what she's called the majority of the time and (2) the nickname would be Bren, which makes me think of a girl.

For what it's worth, I do like it as a girl's name .

For a girl we are going to use Brenin as a middle name, I'm nervous about it as a first name. Its my grandmothers maiden name and my moms cousin is the last one with it,so its gone after him. So I like the name.

Weird... I actually know a little Brennan O'Brien which is who I first met with the name!

This is why DH vetoed the name. I like it though!
