transition from breastmilk to formula

if youre planning to switch to formula from breastmilk, would it be neccesary to do it slowly eg. 1 bottle per day then 2 per day and so on?

 

when i go back to work i may not always be able to pump regularly so this might be a possibility for me.

2 weeks before I went back to work we started with 1 bottle of formula in the morning and 1 at night. My first full day of work was the first day she had all formula. We never had any problems!

I would mix your bottles half breastmilk half formula for a few days and even start with one mixed bottle, then the next day two mixed bottles, and so on. Then I would introduce full formula bottles.  Some babies will have constipation issues with going to straight formula bottles.  Good luck!

thanks guys i think ill do this and try avoid any constipation and or cramps etc.
