Husband Help

So my hubby tells me this morning that he is thinking about going to Peru where he was born in May. His dad got really low airfare prices from their agent. His two friends also want to go. He asked me if I think he should go. I don't want to say no, but I'm nervous about going into labor early. What would you ladies say?

I would say no. Explain since its close to your due date your worried something will happen early and he won't be in the country.

When in May and for how long? If it isn't a long trip/close to the end of the month I'd think you'd be okay. It ultimately depends on what you're both comfortable with.

That is a tough one....

My husband has a bunch of work conferences in May, but he has decided he is not going to go (I am due June 1st). We are also more skeptical because our nephew was born 7 weeks early....

However, I do agree, this is the time to go before LO arrives....when do you have to book by? Could you wait a bit longer to see how you are feeling, etc? Would you be ok if you couldn't go, and just your husband went?

I think you will be fine. He will be back more than a month before you are due. Chances are you won't go into preterm labor. If it's your first baby you are more likely to be overdue. My husband went on a gold trip 2 weeks before my due date and I ended up delivering nearly 2 weeks after my due date so it didn't affect me
at all.

That's my due date too, and I would tell my husband to go. However I would wait to book it as long as possible just to see how things are going. I would also make sure he knows there is a chance no matter how small that he may not be able to go last minute. It is really about what you feel comfortable with though. If you will spend the whole time stressed out then it isn't worth it. Good luck with your decision!

I'd definitely encourage him to go then that's what? 6 weeks before your due date? If you go into labor THAT early there is a problem. Of course it could happen, but you can't plan your whole life around worst case scenarios.

DH is going to Georgia for two weeks at the end of May. Granted he has to because its a military thing but yeah.

I'd let him go, like everyone said you probably won't go in to labor 6 weeks early.  DH may not even be in the country on my due date, he'll be gone for work though.

I told him to go, because after the baby comes he won't be able to. I just was overwhelmed with the question and didn't want to get all psycho wife. Thanks!

Encourage him to go as others have said. 

ETA: SO has to be across the country for school from May 28th to June 28th. They drive a van from WV to CO for field camp. I'm due June 25th.

I would encourage him to go. Chances of going that early are slim unless you start having problems within the next month or so.

I agree with his. Unless you have a real reason, let go of the negative thoughts.
