I busted my rump this morning to defrost 3 chicken breast, brown them on each side, make a terriyaki sauce and throw it in the slow cooker. I then turned on the slow cooker and made sure it was hot before I left. When I got home the slow cooker was off and cool, and the chicken was still raw in the middle. Upon further inspection I noticed scratches all over the front of my brand new slow cooker that were not there this morning. Either Captain Hook visited while we were gone or the dogs were messing with it and hit the off switch. We ended up having left overs and I now have to throw out a bunch of chicken.
Re: Dinner Fail (aka Damn dogs!)
Yeah I am sure I am not alone with this. Thankfully we had some pasta to reheat for dinner.
If only she hadn't figured out that puppy dog eyes work wonders with the kiddos. And that she likes mum mums. And that he likes feeding her just as much as eating himself. Dangerous combination....
I swear that DD gives the dogs more of her food than she eats. I've tried to keep them away while she eats bu they have somehow figuered a way to bust through the gates

I was too impatient to wait for it to ship plus I had a 20% off coupon for Bed Bath and Beyond so we just went there. I would have really liked that Niners one though!
DS loves to feed the dogs his food so we spend most of our meals trying to run the dogs off. DS thinks it is just so funny!
Well, now you can slap some 49ers stickers over the scratches :-)
They should be a bit cheaper now, too.
Oh! Don't remind me!
I was so bummed they lost.
