DH and I got pregnant from IVF in January. We had an ultrasound and found out we're expecting twins! We couldn't see the heartbeat or even much inside the sac but we're very optimistic. We were given about a 50/50 chance of twins since we transferred 2 blasts so while we were kind of expecting it we're still in shock. Does anyone have any recommendations for good twin books? I have an almost 3 year old DS but I know things are very different with multiples.

Also, when did you first see your MFM? I know I'll go around 12ish weeks for prenatal testing but I'm wondering if I should ask to go in earlier.

Congratulations!

I just found out we're having triplets yesterday! Surprise! And called to make my first appt with MFM that they scheduled for next week when I'll be 8 weeks...

I'm also looking for good book recommendations!

Congrats! My partner and I just found out this morning that we are expecting twins, due in September! We have 2 girls already so I am nervous but very excited about expanding our family. 

 Looking forward to being part of this group.

Congrats x2! DH and I were pretty shocked when we found out too. I can't imagine it any other way now though and feel so incredibly blessed.

I first saw the MFM at almost 12 weeks. My RE followed me up until then because that was the earliest opening the MFM had. In terms of books, there is a book by Dr. Barbara Luke that some people love and others really dislike. I thought it had some useful info but overall was pretty overwhelming and made me fear the worst unnecessarily.

Congrats and welcome!  I first saw the MFM around 10 weeks and then again at 12 for an NT scan.  As for books, I bought a few but never even read them because there is so much great info online.

Congrats,I saw my RE till around 8-9 weeks then saw my OB at 10 weeks and had my first MFM appointment at a bit before 12 weeks.

I read DR. Luke's book.For me it was OK.

Thanks! That makes me feel better. I'm being monitored by my RE and am getting 1 ultrasound from them and getting the rest of my ultrasounds from my OB because I live 2 hours each way from my RE. Hopefully everything goes smoothly!
