Re: Neutrogena Eczema Cream..

  • So Samuel has eczema, and we use the Aveeno Eczema cream, they have it specifically for babies, but we have been using the regular one because it was recommended. Coconut oil is also great for breakouts, but includes lots of dipe-less time to let it dry. I have a few other OTC ointments we use that we layer and they work magic. Our Ped actually gave us the "recipe". He is napping right now, but I can let you know afterwards since they are in his room, haha.

  • We use the Neosporin Daily Eczema cream every night. Is there a Neutrogena one? The Neosporin stuff has helped more than anything else. We find it in the aisle with the regular neosporin and bandaids at Target. They also sell a small tube of Neosporin hydrocotrisone cream that we use for bad flare ups. FTR, we also bathe every other day in cetaphil. In our experience the Neosporin stuff works better than Aveeno.

Thank you and Dlast for the suggestions! I will take any recipes! lol your right it is Neosporin! Is it greasy? I didn't like the Aquaphor cause it was sooo greasy and was ruining all his clothes. Is the cetaphil for dry skin or anything is particular? I will have to try these out. I have the Aveeno and i don't see a change.

The Neosporin Eczema Cream is nothing like Aquaphor. It's just a lotion, not greasy at all, absorbs pretty nicely and doesn't ruin clothes. The Cetaphil we get is just the regular gentle cleanser, it's in the aisle with the face wash. And try hydrocortisone anti-itch cream on the bad spots. Seems to help them go away quickly. Good luck!

I am about to use a sample of Arbonne baby oil.  I know, Arbonne can be cult-like and their products can be expensive, but I tried the cream on B and it helped her skin.  Nothing else has.  I have the baby wash and oil to try tonight.

I'll let you know how it goes if you are interested.

I'm so disappointed, I misplaced my samples. :( And Arbonne is like Avon but somewhat fanatical about their products because they are botanical based, chemical free, etc.
