Hi Everyone,
We missed this yesterday but how about today?

Re: TTC Check-in
I am excited to do this for the first time!
I am 5 days into the two week wait. It's easy to get distracted with a 3 year old at home.
I think throwing pottery would be so much fun. I would love to learn how to do it and I am may look for a studio in the area.
TTC #2 since 02.01.13
ICI at home using frozen donor sperm
Married since 06.07.08
I am doing good. This break is turning out to be a really good choice I think (though sometimes it does occur to me that I could probably go in for an unmedicated iui if I wanted to "try" this cycle at the last minute....).
Yesterday we went to the local waters spa (Body Blitz) - which is something we couldn't do during a 2ww or pregnancy because it's all hot tubs and saunas. That was really nice because there weren't too many people there and H. and I had a lot of privacy to talk about our love party and things. We made a "no baby talk" rule and it was really nice.
We also spoke with an infertility counsellor yesterday... which was interesting. It was really good for us I think to be able to talk about our experience, and be encouraged to find ways that we can feel like we get some of the control back in our experience with the RE. Especially around the anxiety about timing the iuis...
Otherwise, I just had my period after Femara and holy smokes! That was the most painful & heavy period I've ever had! I'm not sure if that's a common side effect, but it was pretty brutal.
QOTW: I don't have a solid activity yet. We're trying to get into sewing but I'm not too good with it yet. I am also considering taking up woodworking.

Manada and I are taking a month off from TTC this month. Our next cycle will start at the end of February probably.
In the mean time, we're doing some self care, processing, talking through stuff, etc.
My 'hobbies/activities' have been eating comfort (read: junk) food. I want to work on changing that. I've decided to run a 10k in late April or early May so I did the first day of a couch to 10k program today. M came with me and walked the dog while I did the jogging/walking intervals. Despite the cold, it was really nice to be out with M and the dog and actually doing some running (which I had actually decided to do back in December in the middle of our first cycle but then never started).
We're queer. I'm 33, have severe stage 4 endo, and had both fallopian tubes removed. My love ("Manada" on the boards, 32) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tavin and Casey at 21 weeks gestation.
Our IUIs
with @Manada: IUI# 1-7 (December 2012- September 2013) all BFN. Tried natural, femara, clomid, puregon/follistim, clomid and menopur combo, both the ovidrel and HCG triggers.
Our IVFs:
IVF #1 my eggs November/December 2013: Cancelled IVF due to poor response
IVF #2 my eggs/Manada's uterus January/February 2014
BCPs and lupron overlap Stimmed: 1/22-2/2: Bravelle and Menopur (dosage ranged from B300 and M150 to B375 and M150 to B300 and M225)
2/4 retrieved 10 eggs. Endo was much worse than expected. Only 3 eggs fertilized; February 7 transferred two day 3 embryos, froze one. All great condition.
BFP eve of 6dp3dt; Beta 1 (11dp3dt): 110; Beta 2 (13dp3dt): 175; Beta 3 (15dp3dt): 348; Beta 4 (19dp3dt): 2222; Beta 5 (21dp3dt): 4255
1st ultrasound (3/6 6w 1d): TWINS!!!! Twin A measuring 6w1d with a heartbeat of 118bpm. Twin B measuring 6w0d with a heartbeat of 113bpm.
***July 18, 2014 we lost our beautiful babies at 21 weeks gestation. They were born too early. Tavin Sara T. and Casey Elizabeth T. are beautiful and precious and we will love them and miss them forever.***
FET #1 December 2014
YAY! I am so glad you posted this! I almost posted something this morning but didn't want to step on anyone's toes.
We are at the end of our TWW. I was set to get my AF on sunday and here we are tuesday with nothing. I am pretty regular but I am not ready to set my heart on that being a good sign yet. We tested yesterday morning and it was negative but I have read that a negative read early on can be normal. I guess I figured that our waiting would be over on sunday and didn't account for negative testing but still a potential BFP. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal? I feel like I am driving myself and C crazy and my hormones are all over the place. I had a major breakdown last night but yesterday was like one blow after another...not a lot of big things but a few medium things over and over again that just sent me into a frenzy. I hope that everyone is having a good week! The boards have been a little quiet lately!
Good QOTW!!! We haven't picked any specific new activity but that would have been a great idea! We have been trying to keep ourselves busy with one good/fun thing each night. Whether that be games, or doing something fun, or even just going to Target to look around. C and I are maybe the two most impatient people I know so keeping ourselves busy is key!
Queer coupled and having a BABY with the love of my life! Love my life and wouldn't have it any other way!
First IUI 1/22/2013 BFN: 2/7/2013, Second IUI 2/21/2013 BFN: 3/9/2013, Third IUI 4/23/2013 BFN: 5/8/2013, Fourth IUI 5/24/2013 BFN: 6/7/2013, Fifth IUI 6/24/2013 BFN: 7/8/2013

My wife and I are still in the planning stages of TTC, but things are getting pretty exciting. We are meeting with the potential KD and his wife on Sunday, but no decision has been made by us as to whether or not we will use him or an anonymous donor. They are two of the most amazing people and my wife has known him for 9 years. I'm really looking forward to just hanging out with them
QOTD: I have decided to pick up boxing to keep me busy and healthy. I am an attorney and work from home, so I'm busy with work, but getting healthy is something I am determined to do before we conceive. I slowly but consistently been losing weight with just the change in diet, so adding exercise will push me to my goal!
We had our second IUI 2/1, I went into it totally bummed out thinking for sure something would be wrong or that i wouldnt ovulate.... But I had a good follicle on US before the trigger, donor sperm had more motility this time, so I am being cautiously optimistic this time around.
The ban on HPT is still in place in our house. We are NOT testing early this time around... Which means 2/15 should be our testing date. : I have somehow managed to schedule myself at work for almost the entire TWW which I think will be good for me.
QOTD: L and I have been taking yoga classes together... It's something I have done by myself for awhile but it has been really nice having her join me.
Baby Oliver born 11/27/13
TTC stats with donor sperm...
IUI #1 with trigger, 1/4/13 - BFN
IUI #2 with trigger, 2/1/13 BFN
IUI #3 with tigger, 2/28/12 BFP EDD 11/21/13
Hi all, good luck to all those in the TWW. Do something to relax and enjoy each other! That's what we did and it helped.
And thanks, Manada, for posting this TTC Check-in!
My TTC update: We've decided to move on to IVF this month and it is all going so fast. When the doctor started talking about the meds and the shots and the procedures my wife saw my face getting more and more stressed. After she told me that she would be happy to be the one to go through all of it. She said that she has watched me go through so much over the last 11 months and it seems right that she step in. We discussed it with our doctor and she said it is not that much more complicated to use wife's eggs and transfer them to me. So that's the plan! I'm so happy with this plan, I can't even say. Of course I'd heard of this, even know of people who have done it, but it seemed like some crazy expensive sci-fi thing to do and I didn't think it would be possible for us. It is actually really perfect because I just want our babies to get here, and I would love to be pregnant. My wife seems to care more about the passing along the genes thing, which matters less to me, and doesn't really want to be pregnant. I hope it works and we are really excited. We started bcp last night and we have an IVF orientation on Valentine's Day! Woah!
For the QOTD - I'm starting Zumba classes tomorrow. No more excuses for no hard exercise (until the transfer at least). I'm still more crafty than sporty, and I'm knitting again which is fun. I want to start a baby blanket.
And thanks to the ladies that added to my questions on IVF: I'll be posting answers as soon as I have time to do a really long post!
TTC with RE since March 2012
3 missed O's, 6 IUIs = 1 BFP then 8 w M/C, 5 BFNs
(2 unmedicated IUIs, 2 clomid IUI, 2 femara IUI)
Shared maternity/partner IVF, transfer #1 BFP!
EDD 11/28/13
Hi there! What is the cost for something like this? My wife and I thought about it, but we assumed it was something way too expensive. Thanks!
WOW! I'm so happy that you have a plan that feels good for you guys! That's amazing! I was wondering how you were doing, so I'm glad it's going well.
I have lots of questions about partner IVF, but there is time for them later.
Anyway, congrats! In a perfect world we would be doing partner IVF for H. and I both to carry a pregnancy with the other's eggs, but the costs up here (which is OOP for 95% of people) is too high for it to be an option for us. It's so lovely though -- I hope you guys get tons of great embryos on your first cycle.

I'll let you know once I know more about process, costs, etc. Of course it is going to be different for everyone, and we are blessed to have health insurance that covers IVF. We each have our own plan through work that covers up to 15k over lifetime. And I've already used 7k with all those IUIs! So since we are splitting the costs between our two insurances it should be manageable.
Also because we were always planning to use K's eggs at some point for TTC2, it make sense to do all the procedures now for TTC1 and transferring them to me is no big deal since I've already had all the tests and requisite procedures. Doc said there is no cost for that part, it would be the same if we were transferring in my own embryo! So I'm excited! And scared out of my mind!!!
