Sick or teething?

LO has had a low grade fever all day, drooling, and has been a little cranky. He doesn't seem to be sick, so I am figuring he is teething. He has 8 teeth already though, and he is just about to be 9 months in a few days. So I am wondering, what teeth would be coming in if it is teething? Can 1 year molars come in this early?
