most bizarre thank you note ever

My brother and his girlfriend had a baby last week.  Today my mother received a thank you card from the girl's mother.  It was addressed to my mom and two other people (assuming she meant my sister and me).  She thanked us for the baby shower gifts for the baby. 

Her mother signed her own name and included a picture of herself with the new baby. 

My brother, gf, and baby live with my parents.  All the gifts are being used at my parents house.  Her mother didn't give her anything and we provided the food for the shower.

What etiquette! hahaha! I seriously think I would pack that away and pull it out just to laugh sometimes!

Wow...definitely tops the one I got.  I went to a "shower" for two nieces.  One was there for her bridal shower and the other was there for her baby shower.  I of course knew both and gave both a gift.  I got one thank you...signed by both.  lol

Did every guest get a note like that?  Could she just be thanking your parents for giving her daughter a shower and a place to live?  My MIL sent me a thank you note when I helped my SIL through a tough time when she was in college, it was a really nice "I appreciate your care and concern for (SIL), I think what you said really helped her" kind of thing.   

The photo has me stumped, that's kinda creepy.
