New to The Bump

Newbie--ish

I have a 14 mo old daughter and got weekly emails since I conceived her, but I've never gotten involved in message boards before. We moved 7 months ago and in another 4 months (June) we're planning to start ttc #2. I'm super, super excited about this and need someplace to release my excited baby energy with people who are right there with me :) I would actually love to start trying right now, but June is a better time for us, so I have 2 more months of not really being able to do anything, and then 2 months where I can at least feel like I'm doing something as I start to adjust my diet and medications in preparation. Then I get to start that nerve-racking monthly roller coaster of ttc...I'm sure I'm not the only mama longing to ttc, get anxiety over having to take pregnancy tests (got a false neg last go-round) and over analyzing myself every month. I guess I'm just wanting to be able to relate with people here :)

Re: Newbie--ish

  • Hi there! I'm in a pretty similar boat. Both DH and I have decided that it would just be smarter to wait a little bit before TTC so that we can get our finances in order. I'm thinking we might be able to start in September or so, especially if I manage to get a job (currently finishing up my Education degree). So feel free to release that energy this way! Recently I've started a better (read: existant) exercise routine and have started trying to eat healthier so that by the time we do start TTC I'll be in better shape and have less of an adjustment to make hopefully.

As far as over-analyzing myself, I had myself absolutely convinced I was pregnant last month until I finally got AF 3 days late (I'm never late). So I was both extremely disappointed, because like you, I'd rather start trying now lol, but also was able to force myself to think realistically and know that it really is smart to wait.

Any how, if ever you feel like venting, or getting out impatient vibes, send me a message!
