Ok, probably a typical FTM question that makes me feel a little silly.

How do you know when LO has outgrown their current diaper size?

We switched from newborn to Size 1 when we were getting a lot of blow outs.  We noticed the diapers seemed tighter around her middle too.

 

Maybe we are idiots, but we learned the hard way - when going up in diaper size, you need to put the elastic much tighter - we had to overlap it a little when we first switched to size 1.  We had a few blow outs when she was kind of inbetween sizes but I think after a few days, she gained just enough and we realized to put the diaper tighter and we were good to go.

When we start getting tons of leaks and it takes forever to get the tabs on because there isnt enough "slack".

For little babies, I base it on blow outs. For big babies, you can just kind of tell based on how the diaper fits.
