So my LO just woke up to feed at 12:30 am andxhe's cold. We are in Maryland. At night he wears a onesie. Gown and a fleece sleep sac.,.does anyone put a harton LO while sleeping? He's sleeping in a bassinet next to my bed x
I am also in md and just noticed the same thing. She is in an undershirt, fleece sleeper, and miracle blanket. I just put a blanket snugly around her legs. Tomorrow I may do a sleep sack over or under the miracle blanket.
Sorry for the typos ur was on my phone and it was an early morning feeding. What I wanted to know does anyone put a hat on LO while sleeping at night so they aren't cold?

I did in the beginning because he was so young and we had a few really cold nights. Sometimes I will based on the temp and what he is wearing but typically he runs warm and I don't want to overheat him.

Someone posted a good article not too long ago about hats being a SIDS risk, you don't have to worry about overheating it seems but I know Eloise [before I stopped putting a hat on her] would end up with the hat over her face occasionally. Can you turn up the heat? I don't think I'd use a hat but another layer.
Hi, I'm stopping in from the December 2012 board. My LO is 9 weeks now and we frequently put her to bed with a hat on. We make sure that the hat is snug and will not come down over her eyes. Sometimes it pops off the top of her head. Also, we use a blanket, we make sure to tuck it securely under the mattress of the bassinet. We've been using a knitted blanket and flannel blanket in her bassinet since she came home from the hospital without any incident. To dress her, we put her in a onsie, socks, cotton sleeper, and her Swaddle Me blanket.
Had LO in knit hat from hospital until it would no longer stay on because would just slip off. Granted, we turned up house temp and got a space heater to improve room warmth.
