Just venting a little. My little sweetheart had a runny/snotty nose when I picked him up from DC on Friday. I picked him up early to get his 2-month shots which we proceeded with (I wanted him to be home for the subsequent days so I could take care of him instead of a DCP, know what I mean?). We set up the cool mist humidifier that night but he slept little bc he was soo congested and ran a slight fever. He now has a cough that induces vomitting and when I suctioned his nose on the changing table yesterday, I sucked out a chunk of bugars and then he threw up...a.lot. It was like the mucous was in his throat and made him gag or something. Today he's had blood in his mucous which apparently is normal and he took a long azz nap from 1-5 and has been napping again for about 30 minutes now.
My poor baby. We go in for his two-month checkup on Tues so if anything still persists, I'm sure the pedi will treat it. I just hate when they're sick you know? So sad and pitiful. I don't want to send him to DC tomorrow...it will definitely be a day when I visit my poor baby on my lunch break. I know there are other mamas of sick babies on here. Same symptoms? How are you treating LO?

If you're BFing, you can dribble a few drops of milk into their nose instead of the saline drops. I expressed a little milk and have been using an eyedropper to get it in there and loosen things up.
Oh poor thing. I was thinking about you guys yesterday . Hope the baptism went well. Such a bummer he wasn't feeling well on his special day.
