losing weight / adipex?

Hey all

I have been trying to lose the baby weight for about 4 weeks now and its just not happening. I am not BF'ing and I am always hungry and eating for energy/to stay up. I tried Weight Watchers and in 4 weeks I lost 1.2 lbs. Uugh.

My dr prescribed adipex to me and Im wondering if anyone else has used it and how they felt about it? Thanks!

I lost 25 pounds in about 3 months on adipex about 3 years ago with diet and exercise but I will worn you the jittery feelings from the meds can be quite scary.

Some people just don't lose weight until they wean. I wouldn't jump to medication so soon.

Oh! No problem! I wasnt sure what you meant... Thanks. Im really not sure if I want to take the adipex or not. The problem is my knees and back are killing me- and a lot of it is from this extra weight. I gained 65 lbs with pregnancy and Im currently 220! I look and feel awful.

How many weeks pp are you? I had a csection but it took a good 6 weeks for my body to regulate, then after that the weight really started coming off before that I didn't gain or loose an ounce. Your body is really still going through a lot in those early weeks.

Same here. I had c section and until about six weeks pp i couldnt lose a pound! Im now 10 wks pp and have been going to the gym about four times a week and eating healthy. I gained 60 lbs as well i lost about 20 pp with bf. But this other 40 didnt seem to be going any where. Be patient let your body recoup a little. We cant all be heidi klum!!
