To whoever posted about Taisley below. Yep. A friend named her daughter that. And other friends named their offspring Maquita (girl) and Jagger (boy), siblings. I feel like an idiot when I say their names.
Wow I am definitely side eying your choice of friends!
You know you wish they were your friends. One is actually a relative. Their names suck and are embarrassing but honestly, where I live weird/made up names are very common. It's strange and I don't get it at all.
At least Jagger was the name of a soap opera character played by a somewhat known actor (Antonio Sobato Jr). I can wrap my head around it being a name.
But the others are... just... geez.
I am expecting him to be a rock star. If not I will be severely disappointed.
You win. I posted a few days ago about seeing a Taisley on FB, but you've got me beat with Taizlee. Wow. Just when you think it can't get worse. WTF is wrong with these people?

I like the name Jagger, and Maquita doesn't bother me. Taisley isn't so great, but ehhh, whatevs.
I get a little weirded out when people talk about feeling so bad for these kids and how an unusual name should be considered child abuse. I work in public mental health and I see kids who really have been abused, neglected, &/or terrorized. (Incidentally, they have names like Logan, Ethan, Sophie, and Grace.) Yes, I understand that the name abuse thing is hyperbole, but it just seems absurd-- and maybe a bit insensitive-- from my perspective.
Re: I will raise you a Taizlee.
Oh boy. Some times I need to hear these you-neek names just to reassure myself I've not lost it in a sea of names.

Taizlee is definitely a strange one ...
Maquita .... hmmmmmm. Almost sounds like they got drunk and forgot how to say margarita ....
Jagger isn't too horrible. NMS, but I've see a few people naming their kids Jagger lately.

I agree the names are horrible but child abuse is a very serious issue. Just saying.
