Probiotics for your little one?

Has anyone given their LO probiotics? My LO had to take a round of antibiotics recently and I asked the pediatrician what she thought about probiotics. She said research didn't really lean towards or against so it wouldn't hurt. She gave me a few options. I was wondering if anyone used them, what kind and what they thought? Thanks.

My DS just finished a round of antibiotics. I fed him Greek yogurt in the am to get the live cultures back up and going. As long as there is 2 live cultures in a yogurt you should be good.

I give Kate probiotics daily. They're expensive, but they helped tremendously with her gas issues when she was tiny.

We used probiotics (BioGaia) when dd was young and colicky.  While it wasn't a "miracle" we could tell a difference when she didn't have them.

I gave LO culturelle packets when he was on antibiotics. It didn't hurt him, not sure it helped, he still had quite a bit of diarrhea.

yup! we use jarro dolphus, which was recommended by our pedi.

We just had a horrible bout of the stomach flu in my house where LO had diarrhea for days. The only remedy: probiotics. I was told to use either Florastor (which is crazy expensive) or Culturelle--which is still up there but it's the cheaper of the two. It took care of the problem after one dose!

We give her BioGaia, 5 drops every day.
