Beta #2 is in

It went from 40 to 67.  Not great news.  I'm kind of numb.  Nurse told me not to panic, that I'm not out, but I really had hoped it would double.  Now I'm just endlessly googling positive stories of non-doubling betas.  Ugh.  Headed to the couch to watch some stupid reality shows to take my mind off this.

Big hugs. It can totally turn out fine but might not. Waiting to find out which is going to happen is really hard. I'm staring at a hpt and think my line should be way darker. I am afraid my beta is decreasing yet it is just a feeling. The pee test cannot give me the info I need---a number. I think it is impossible to take your mind off of it. I can't.  When do you check again? Tuesday?

I know it isn't what you expected but you have the right idea, just relax, breath,  put your feet up and watch some mindless tv shows, maybe, that will help get your numbers over the mark!     You are in my T's and P's.  Try not to worry, know that is tuff not to do.....  Sending you lots of positve energy and hugs!

I go back on Tuesday.  I'm trying not to fixate too much.  Funny thing is, because my hospital lets you log in to your results (good and bad sometimes) I saw the # before the nurse even called me.  The good thing is, when she called to tell me (not knowing I already knew) she didn't say anything bad (I've had those calls before as this is my 4th trip on the beta roller coaster).  Then I asked her what she thought and she was like "it's just a range, sometimes it doesn't exactly double in 48 hours".  I really grapple with the point of all this monitoring. It's so freaking stressful and it's not like they can do anything if the numbers suck anyway.

 I'd feel less stressed if I felt like I had more symptoms.  I don't feel too much, but then again last go round my beta started at 1400 and I had tons of symptoms....and ended up with nothing anyway, so it's all maddening. 

McIrish - I really, really hope you have awesome #'s tomorrow! And don't torture yourself with pee tests...though it's obviously something i would do, too!

Sending you lots of positive vibes. I have never been through beta's and I can only imagine how stressful it can be. Lifetime is always mindless

I know it's hard but I hope you can somehow relax over the next few days.

That sucks!  I'm sorry you have to have this additional stress on top of everything else.  Mrs.I is right, you're still in normal range, although that probably doesn't make you feel better.  I sending T&P your way and lots of ((HUGS)) until Tuesday!!

This!  Anything within 72 hours is considered normal.  The 48 hour guideline is just a best case scenario (few people actually manage to fit into it!).  And I had no symptoms at all until I was 8 weeks -- nothing, nada, zip, zilch.  Most people don't get symptoms this early.  FX for you!

This - I kept listening to all these people talk about their symptoms at 4 weeks and would cringe.  I was well over 8 weeks before I felt anything.  I wish you much sticky dust!

 Yep.. all this.  I know it's really hard to keep positive... try to surround yourself with good positive energy.

Good news is it is still going up! I have never had the pleasure or torture of beta's but I can appreciate what you are feeling. Good Luck with Tuesday and hope that its doubled again !
